Good Grief is a tragi-comedy exploring themes of grief & technological isolation, Featuring Nichola Vechiatto, professional actress, aerialist and avid thespian. Nichola graduated with a diploma of performing arts in 2003; enjoying a successful career performing across the globe before she discovered aerial art in 2015.
Rooted in theatre and with a deep passion for story-telling, Nichola adopts the role of our narrator, crafting a collaborative art-form, combining words, voice, movement and visual effects to express meaning.
She has always been passionate about the performer/audience relationship of a live performance. It’s an immediate and personal exchange that creates a chemistry and magic. She hopes that through acrobatic, gestural, vocal and comedic expressions this piece connects with the audience on a deep level and takes them on a special journey within to tackle a issue that touches us all with artistry, humility and humour.
Good Grief uses aerial art to punctuate and deepen the experience as we examine universal emotions..
Together with industry professionals, Aerial Canvas has hosted alternative experiences for beginner & professional aerialists including Counterweight workshops and a 6-week show development process which culminated in the documentary "In Situ", in October 2022.
